Sunshine and wine

So it's been decided that we are resuming our blogs -- though Cat would prefer that they remain within a secret circle. Personally, I'm not sure how well that would pan out, but we shall see. It's true that there is some value in anonymity...

Anyways, we had a wonderful weekend in Chicago, hanging out with fun peeps, catching up with old friends, and seeing our fave DD run her first marathon. Crazy times. 40,000 people as dedicated as she is... 40,000 people committed to running that race on Sunday morning. It's really very inspiring. We now have her shining happy face on our screensavers/desktop backgrounds to keep us cheery and remind us to stay focused. We all know we need it...

And I think both Cat and I have once again rediscovered our love for Chicago. Just being there was great. Maybe it's just our attitude whenever we're there, maybe it's the luck we've had with beautiful weather, maybe it's the super nice people we always see when we're there... but wandering around, meeting random friendly people, just everything was so so fun. Sometimes it's just good to get away. Though of course it leaves us somewhat antsy and distracted upon our return, but we'll settle back to real life eventually...

In the meantime, a bottle of red and some good conversation. Ah, thinking back to those good ol' days...
