Biting the Bullet...

Or just sucking it up, as Cat used to tell me to do when I was whining about stuff.

This time, it's about working out. I have finally rejoined a gym -- a Crunch -- despite the not-so-great pricetag and the hardcoreness of the other patrons that I saw there today. I've decided it's time, though. I've had free membership to the gym at school all year, and not once have I made it, and I'm feeling very sloth-like these days. So... if it means coughing up the money to belong to a gym close by, so be it. Besides, the cost will have to serve as an incentive because if I don't go often enough, the per-visit price is going to go through the roof and I'm going to be sooo mad at myself.

Alright, wish me luck. May the image of DD running her marathon serve as my inspiration. :)

Is this my Crunch? If so, you may be too late. Keith no longer teaches the Cardio Tai Box class anymore. He's doing some sort of other class that's training the attendees to compete in some sort of event in a few months.

Good grief, if I counted the per visit amount for myself, I'd puke.
Hence my trainer dumping me.

Christine, if you can do it, I can do it too! Better get my butt to the gym.

With Crunch membership, you also belong to ballys, pinnacle, gorrila, and a few others. So if you are into swimming, there is a pool at your disposal at the 42nd street Crunch (westside) and Ballys (grand central). fyi.

Hey, lostpancake -- it probably is 'your' Crunch. Any other classes you'd recommend?

mr. jeffrey -- we'll have to be each other's motivation. on that note, you should ask cat about the new team-building activity she's joined at work. it can be a group effort :)

In general, "Liquid Strength", "Absolution", and "Ultimate Conditioning" are good classes, though it can vary by instructor (I don't know what happened to all the old instructors, some of them are gone!).

If you can make a class by Keith (he seems to be teaching Cardio Tai Box on Fridays at 12pm now), you should. He's really good. In fact, he has groupies that follow him from club to club for his classes. A literal cult following.

Also, the "Nike Rockstar Workout" is good - it's like a dance routine that you learn, but you need to make it week after week to get the most out of it.
